Australia: Charlotte's lunch

Selamat Pagi! Here is Charlotte's lunch. She has jelly (jello for you Americans), a banana, an apple, a vegemite and cheese roll and some chocolate biscuits.

We learn Indonesian at school. Selamat Pagi is "good morning" in Indonesian. Do you know where Indonesia is?

What is your favourite fruit?

America: Caleb's Lunch

Ia ora na  (Yur•ona) That's hello in Tahitian!

My name is Caleb. In my lunch I have Cheez-It crackers, graham crackers, a Fruit-by-the-foot snack, yogurt, and my favorite chow mein noodles from Pick-up Sticks.

How do you like my lunch?

America: Jaxon's Lunch

Bonjour! My name is Jaxon and for lunch I have a scrumptious steak sandwich, red grapefruit, an apple, two chocoloate-chip cookies, and a water. Something that is funny is that I had steak and a bun in separate containers,  and had to asemble my sandwich at school so the bun would not get soggy.

What do you think of my lunch and my sandwich assembly idea?

Australia: Healthy Day Books

This week 2KM were given a challenge to create a Healthy Day Book where they had to include healthy foods from the five food groups
  • meats and protein
  • fruits
  • vegetables
  • dairy
  • grains and cereals
If you eat from all of these food groups you will get all the important vitamins and nutrients you need and have the energy to get the most out of each day!

Here is Sophie reading her book.

Did Sophie have something out of all five food groups on her "healthy day?" Leave a comment and tell us!
