Yollis: Lunch Area

By Paul, Caleb, and Charlie

Every day at 12:15- 1:00 the students in Mrs. Yollis' class eat lunch! Here is some information about the process and the place!

How is our lunch different from yours?

Do you have any questions for Paul, Caleb, and Charlie?

  1. Dear Mrs Yollis' class,

Wow! I loved the video about where you eat your lunch!

We don't have to line up to get our lunch. We can either bring our own lunch from home, or get a lunch order from the canteen. Most people have lunch orders every Friday and others have it any other days.

Yes, I have some questions for Paul, Caleb and Charlie, and here they are ... What is a pin number? Where do you pay cash? Does it have to be the kids cash? Can you bring your own lunch from home?

Thanks for sharing where you eat your lunch with us! :D

    Your blogging buddy,

  2. Dear Sophie,

Thank you for an EXCELLENT comment! :-) You have a nice introductory sentence, a paragraph sharing your own experience, and you end with some great questions.

You are also using the correct spelling, capitalization, and punctuation. Super job, Sophie!

Waiting in line is one part of our lunch program that is not fun.

You asked about a pin number. Last year, our school went to a system that is online. Students pay into a lunch account at the office and are given a pin number. When they pick up their lunch, they type in their four digit number and money is subtracted from their account. That way, kids don't need to bring money every day for lunch.

Yes, you can still bring your lunch from home. In fact, most kids bring a lunch in a reusable lunch box.

I like your system as well. Do you ever order from the canteen? If so, what are some of your favorite items?

    Mrs. Yollis

  3. Dear Mrs Yollis,

Thanks for writing such nice things about me!
    Also, AWESOME comment!

No, I have never had a lunch order before, but my friend, Ashleigh has. Here's what she has... dim sims, slush puppies [some people call them slurpees], frozen jellies, and sausage rolls.
With slush puppies, you choose a flavor, I will tell you what the flavors are, blue berry, stawberry, lemon, mango, and pineapple.
I have had a slush puppie and frozen jellie before. YUMMY!

    Keep blogging,
    Sophie :-)
