America: Jollene's Lunch

Here is a video of Jollene's lunch. She has a delicious salad, crunchy cucumbers and carrots, and a strawberry Capri Sun for a drink.

Do you have any questions or comments for Jollene?

  1. Dear Jollene,
We loved looking at your fantastic healthy lunch. Nearly everyone in 2KM has tried cucumber and a few people have it for brainfood sometimes.
    What is Capri Sun?

  2. Dear Jollene,

I thought your lunch looked pretty good. Yes, I have tried cucumbers, but I tried them in a chicken barbeque salad. I thought it was really good because it had barbeque sauce on it. Yes, I do have a question for you and here it is, what is your favorite flavor of Capri Sun?

    Sincerely,
    Nick

  5. @2KM,

Capri sun is a drink. It has different flavors like kiwi-strawberry and fruit punch.

    @Nick,

I never tried chicken barbeque salad before and what kind of dressing do you use? You asked me what kind of flavor I like, it is wild cherry and pacific cooler.

    @ Maddison,

Your mom's name is almost similar to my name and your name like somebody I know from my school? But my name is spelled out Jollene and yours mom is spelled out Joylene. I have tried peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and I love them!

    @ Sophie,

I love carrots! The salad was great with the dressing. Do you like salad? You asked what is Carpi sun? They are drinks with different types of flavors, like fruit punch. My salad was delicious. Cucumber is a healthy vegetable for you and is very tasty.

    Best,
    Jollene :)

  7. Hello to Mrs. Yollis's Class & 2KM in Australia from Zoe at Fotobabble.com!

Jollene's lunch Fotobabble looks and sounds very tasty.

I think your lunchtime project is so cool and creative. So far A LOT of people have been using Fotobabble, but what you're doing really stands out--all of us at Fotobabble agree.

I can't wait to see everything your classes collaborate on and to learn even more from you. When I was in 2nd grade in Walla Walla, WA, I had an Australian exchange teacher and loved getting to know Australia.

Let us know if you have any ideas or suggestions for Fotobabble.

    thanks, and have fun!

    Zoe

  12. @ Zoe (from Fotobabble),

Wow! How exciting for us to be visited by you! The students were thrilled!

We are certainly enjoying your product. The combination of pictures and voice is powerful. Thank you!

You asked if we had any suggestions, so here are two ideas I would love:

    1. It would be great if there was a writing/drawing function. That way students could draw arrows or other symbols/words to add to the image.

    2. Another idea I would love is the ability to create a Fotobabble book...Several photos could be used together for a theme or unit.

I know it is all very complicated, but I thought I'd throw my two ideas out there.

    Thanks for a great product!

    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Yollis

  13. Hi Mrs. Yollis--

Thank you for the suggestions! I particularly like the idea of creating a Fotobabble "book", kind of like a slide show you could link to? This is definitely something we'd like to include in a future release.

For now, the best idea for the writing and drawing function would be to simply open up the picture in Paint before uploading it to Fotobabble and adding drawings to it that way. Have you tried that already?

Thanks again for the valuable feedback!

Just checked out Kayla's Lunch Fotobabble--it looks and sounds great. I love the way she arranged all the different food for the picture!

  14. @ Zoe (from Fotobabble),

Thanks for your feedback. Where would I find this Paint you are talking about. I tried downloading TuxPaint, but I couldn't upload a photo to it. Hmm...

Also, I understand that Fotobabble and PhotoPeach are the same company. Is that true?

    Thanks for your help!
