America: Kendall's Lunch

Here is Kendall's lunch from Mrs. Yollis' class. She has crunchy carrots, creamy hummus, a yummy salami sandwich, an Oats and Honey Granola bar, a healthy banana, and some yellow banana chips. For a drink, she has cold water in her thermos.

  1. Dear Kendall,

Your lunch sounds yummy! Scarlet's favorite fruit is bananas. We both love salami sandwiches.

  2. Dear Kendall,

You have a super delicious lunch! I especially like the salami sandwich. Normally, I just eat salami plain...I've never put it in a sandwich. Now I have a new idea!

    What is hummus?

    Sincerely,
    Mrs. Yollis

  3. @ Mrs. Yollis,

You asked me what hummus is, so I am going to tell you. Hummus is a dip made mostly from chickpeas or garbanzo beans. Some people like to dip pita bread in it. I personally like carrots better with my hummus. I think you should try it!

    @ Kayla and Scarlet,

Thank you for your super comment. I really appreciate it when you do leave a comment. Like Scarlet, a bannana is one of my favorite fruits.

    Sincerely,
    Kendall

  4. Dear Kendell,

We enjoyed looking at your lunch! Only a couple of people in 2KM had heard of hummus. Over here it is usually spelt hommus I think. Miss McGeady enjoys hommus with carrots sticks or rice crackers.

Your lunch looks very interesting and delicious! We hop you enjoyed it!
