America: Anais' Lunch

Bon Jour!
In my lunch, I have some sour grapes, some juicy jicama that I learned about from Mr. Yollis, some crunchy Ritz crackers and a sweet apple.

If you have any questions, please ask me in the comment section!

  1. Dear Anais,

What a delicious and healthy lunch you have. It makes me so happy to see so many students buying and eating jicama! I love it too!

Mr. Yollis said that the heavier the jicama, the juicer it is. How do you pick out a good jicama?

Also, do you ever put cheese or anything else on your Ritz crackers?

    From,
    Mrs. Yollis

  2. Dear Anais,

What a great lunch and well done for bringing a jicama!

We had trouble seeing your Fotobabble although we could hear you.

2KM were on holidays when you wrote the post about Mr Yollis' buying the jicama so we read it today and we were very fascinated. We don't think you can buy them here.

I think we might have Ritz crackers here - maybe they are like a type of biscuit we have called Savoys. Do you have Savoys in the USA?

  4. Dear Mrs. Yollis,
I think it is great that you are blogging about lunches. You can blog about just about anything these days. It is so interesting to see what everyone else is eating. It is a great conversation starter and introduces us all to new things. Nice to get out of our lunch rut!
Thank you so much for re-introducing Jicama to Anais. We have not had it for so long that Anais forgot she ever had it before. Now she loves it. I buy it every week. She can eat a whole one herself! I even forgot it was so good. I am so glad Anais is becoming more open to trying new things.
    Thanks again,
    Sincerely,
    Nancy Armstrong (Anais' Mom)

  5. Dear Anais,

I love everything you have in your healthy and delicious lunch. In your lunch, you have a snack that I love to snack on when I get really hungry. Apples and jicama taste so similar, I can barely tell the difference! Although, jicama does taste better than an apple, and jicama is probably healthier than the delicious apple. Hope you have a wonderful time downing your lunch.

    Sincerely,
    Caleb

  7. Hi Anais,
I'm glad you like jicama now! It is good and crunchy. It seems like you are learning alot about eating healthy food. Do you know what protein is? If you add a protein to your lunch you won't be hungry again until snack time! Can you tell me what kinds of protein you would like to eat with your lunch? Do you like peanut butter, cheese, cream cheese, turkey or chicken?
    Love, Auntie Sindy
